Attention all Middle and Senior High Youth: Faith 4 Life this Sunday, October 9th Faith-4-Life, our new youth ministry, will be meeting at the church this Sunday afternoon to make casseroles for MainSpring House in Brockton.
Putting our "Faith in Action," we will prepare and bake the casseroles, which we will then freeze and use on October 19 when a group of us will be serving dinner at MainSpring.
Because of the time and preparation involved in making the casseroles, we will hold an optional "pre-meeting" beginning at 3:00 pm to get things started. We invite any middle/senior high youth who is available and interested to come beginning at this earlier time and help out.
We will then eat supper as usual at 5:00 pm and finish making the MainSpring meal, wrapping up at the regular time of 6:30 pm. If you can't come at 3:00 pm, then please join us as usual for the supper and meeting from 5:00 to 6:30 pm.
We hope to see you - bring a friend!
If you have any questions, please see Pastor Jean or Dana Barnes.

4th AnnualSouth Shore CROP* Hunger Walk Sunday, October 16, 2011 The 4th Annual South Shore CROP Hunger Walk is next Sunday!
* Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty.
CROP Hunger Walks help children and families worldwide - and right here in the U.S. - to have food for today, while building for a better tomorrow. Our local efforts are making a huge difference... and you can be part of it!
A CROP Hunger Walk consists of friend and neighbors and congregations all over the South Shore gathering together to get pledges and walk to raise money for CROP's work, and in so doing take a stand against hunger.
You can help by either signing up to be a walker (or a spirit walker) and gathering pledges or by sponsoring a walker. The sign-up sheet is in the church lobby.
Thank you to all of you who have signed up to walk and are now gathering donations.
Thank you also to all of you who have made a contribution. If you have not as yet done so, you can make an online donation by visiting www.SouthShoreCROPWalk.org and selecting our team, "UCC Stoughton Team".
The South Shore CROP Hunger Walk will donate 25% percent of monies raised to the work of MainSpring House, a respected agency on the South Shore which addresses poverty, homelessness, hunger, healthcare, unemployment, substance abuse, and much more.
Important information for walkers:
-- We will provide you with lunch beginning at 12 noon on walk day, next Sunday, October 16. We will then be leaving at approximately 12:45 pm and drive over in carpools to Christ Congregational Church, Brockton.
-- Permission slips are required for all youth under 18 who are carpooling and walking without a parent; forms are available at the CROP Walk table at Coffee Fellowship; please return to Pastor Jean or Dana Barnes.
For more information, call Marcia Olson (781-344-9547) or email
